FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How is your program set up?
Sarah Voth is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Eating Disorder Dietitian (CEDRD) who specializes in recovery from disordered eating, body image concerns, and chronic dieting, and sports nutrition. Sarah offers both in-person and virtual appointments for outpatient medical nutrition therapy. Do I have to be located in Washington or Oregon State for virtual care? Yes, Sarah is able to see clients who are physically located in WA or OR state at the time of their appointment. Some surrounding states are also eligible for virtual appointments, such as California and Arizona. Please contact Sarah if you are unsure if you are eligible for a virtual appointment. Are you an IOP (Intensive outpatient program?) No, traditional IOP programs will provide around 6-15 hours of treatment throughout the week, including group therapy, psychotherapy, and nutrition therapy. These programs are ideal for clients stepping down from a higher level of care, or who need to increase the amount of support from outpatient care. What is Outpatient therapy? Outpatient therapy (OP) is considered the 'lowest level of care' for eating disorder treatment, and is ideal for medically stable clients with fair to good motivation for recovery, and ability to follow/work towards some structure with nutrition and movement. Flourish is an outpatient private practice providing nutrition therapy to clients anywhere from monthly 1-hour appointments up to 2x weekly depending on a client's individual goals and need for support. What do I need to verify with my insurance? It is always helpful to verify your coverage with your insurance provider before scheduling. You can call the 1-800 number on the back of your insurance card and verify how they cover Medical Nutrition Therapy with Sarah Voth of Flourish Food and Body.
